Description:   This feature class (FC) was derived from CAD files created by the wastewater collection system designer. Septic tank locations were placed on the CAD files using data collected in an earlier survey. In the CAD files, tank locations were represented as polyline Xs. These polylines were converted to points in GIS. Significant duplication and erroneous intersections were encountered in this process. Using adjacent information from the CAD annotation, careful steps were taken to seperate out erroneous intersections from interesections that correctly depicted septic tank locations. Duplicate locations (geographically coincident) were also treated carefully and separated using the annotation information. Once locations and annotation were synchronized, careful steps were taken to conflate the annotation information with the point locations. The attribute table in this FC is the product of that conflation process. No further steps have been taken to truth these locations.
